The short version
We ask for your name and email so we can send you what you signed up for and save your course progress. We do not sell your information to anyone. You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you.
Who we are
Baby Steps With AI (also called AIVista Academy) is operated by Grip Enterprises Incorporated, based in Kansas City, Missouri.

What we collect, and why
We only ask for what we actually need. Here is every place on this site where we collect something, and what we do with it.

What we do not do
- We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, for any amount, ever.
- We do not rent or trade your email address, and we do not add you to a list you did not ask to be on.
- We do not run advertising on this site, so nobody is buying access to you through us.
- We do not track which pages you visit.
Who else touches your information
A few companies help us run this site. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy.
- MailerLite sends the weekly email, only to people who ticked the box for it. MailerLite also tells us whether the weekly email was opened and which links in it were clicked, so we know what is useful.
- Brevo sends the emails you ask for: sign-in codes, certificates you email to yourself, and our replies to the contact form.
- Supabase stores your course account: your name, email, quiz answers and progress.
- Gumroad takes payment if you buy a book. They handle the card details. We do not.
- Hostinger hosts the site and keeps standard server records.
- YouTube plays the video on our Videos page, in its privacy-enhanced mode.
- An outside AI service writes Sam's answers to the questions you type.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device so it can remember something.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not let other companies track you across the internet from here. When you sign in, your browser keeps a small note so you stay signed in. If you clear it, the course will ask you to sign in again.
How long we keep things
We keep your course progress and certificate details for as long as you have an account with us, so you can come back and pick up where you left off.
If you signed up for the weekly email, we keep your name and email on that list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Contact form messages are kept so we have a record of what was asked and answered.
You can ask us to delete any of it. See below.
Your choices
You are in control of all of this, and none of it requires a difficult process.
- Unsubscribe from the weekly email using the link at the bottom of any of them. It works immediately.
- Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete everything. Send a message from our Contact page and say so. We will do it and confirm when it is done.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights over your information. Ask and we will honor them.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We protect your information with the standard safeguards our providers offer, and we keep the amount we collect deliberately small — the safest information is the information nobody asked for.
No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If something ever goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
If the change is significant, we will say so in an email rather than quietly editing the page.
